I started downloading my emails this morning as usual and soon realised I was getting every single one of them since the year dot......

After about 380 of them I clicked stop but it looks like there are another 13,822 to go.....

Obviously I don't want them so any suggestions as to what I can do?
 
W7, windows live mail, and only those coming from my orange email account, or it could be those coming through my web hosting service which go through orange.....

In other words, not those coming through virgin.net.

Maybe I could let them all go into a separate folder and just delete the lot at one go?


Gotta dash now....back in c2 hours....

presumably youre using POP3 or IMAP then?

im guessing POP3 and its set to leave all email on the server.

it may be worth checking if you have IMAP settings available, that way after the initial sync it only brings down changes.
