emails from form online

Hi, over the last 2 weeks I keep getting emails via my site but its all rubbish as in the text and 8-10 times it is between 3am-7am
here is a sample is this anyone on here has seen an increase I still get the blank ones but that must be search engine stuff because you cant submit to that page with out text.

I have been getting them regularly too, sometimes 2 -3 a day. We use carrierzone for our web forms (through BT)

It is annoying but I don't know what to do as we get lots of genuine enquiries through our web form too.

What do you use for the forms?

You should put some validation on it, for example, for the phone number field to ONLY accept 11 numbers (13 if you need international), instead of any length of anything

You should also use captcha to stop automated spam.

There are a couple of ways to stop this...

Use Captcha
Use an anti-spam question as part of the forum... such as "What planet do we live on?". When the form gets submitted check the answer is "Earth" and if it is then send on the form content, otherwise display an error message or something.

Usually form spam is filled in by bots rather than humans.
