erm, through my forum, as a mass email.
You used to be able to do it using photobuckets html code for your image but that doesn't work for me anymore.

Have you rules out change of the default display mode of your e-mail client?
It could have changed how images in img tags are being displayed. It would be odd, but it's an option to check.
You should be able to embed a base64 encoded image directly into an e-mail, but I don't know the details, you'll have to google that one.
