... in the crossword.

This gentleman and his wife are obviously regulars in this pub. He with his pint (on the sloping table!), she with her pot of tea, and both engrossed in the day's crosswords.

Handheld, and lit by window to the man's right hence the blown highlights on the side of his head. (Should have used spot metering on that small area, I guess.)

the side may be a tad blown but the rest of the face is just perfect!
I like this picture - and the word that went with
I'd bet they'd be delighted to see the result
 
Good shot, he's certainly into that crossword.
I'd be tempted to give this one the old B&W treatment.

This was my first attempt at using High Pass sharpening instead of USM, and I really like the result, seems much more subtle, altho I have no idea how it does what it does! :LOL:
