Hello Everyone

Could you please enlighten me as to what drivers / software / canon stuff I need to have on a PC for the firewire connection to work properly.

Yes, the firewire aspect is sorted, XP simply does not know how to talk to the camera so I basically need drivers for the camera...where do I start?

As far as I'm aware Canon only have the software upates online, you need to have the basic software supplied with the camera installed on your PC first. You might need to get a hold of a disk from someone.

In saying that, when you plug the camera in XP should recognise the camera and update the drivers accordingly.
