EOS 40D Flash?

Hi all, today I finalized my transfer from Nikon to Canon, with a good 'ol 40d. I'm just wondering what flashes are out there for Canon? I'd like to spend between £50-£100 and would like a decent one I can use indoors and out, but does not have to be anything too fancy.
 
The 430EX is def worth a look - you maybe able to pick one up 2nd hand near the top end of your budget

I would too keep an eye out for a 2nd hand 430ex but it might be just over your £100 budget

430 has movable head which is what you want. I used to have a sigma flash which was also good, I think the Nissin are liked but I have yet to try one.

For that budget a 380EX or the 420EX. I have the 420 and it has been excellent.

There are some 380's floating about at the moment for £80 on a couple of the larger online second-hand specialists.
 
I've just been reading a post about someone using a Nikon SB-24 on a 40D and it seems to work fine in Manual and Non-TTL auto mode. http://photo.net/canon-eos-digital-camera-forum/00Q9Ak

I just purchased a SB-24 to go with my D700 and it will only work in Manual & Non-TTL auto but this is fine for me as I have no interest in TTL anyway and it's a superb flash for about £50. I actually prefer it to my SB-910 which cost far more.

I bought the YN-468 ii for my 40D a couple of weeks ago, very impressed (it has ttl & everything :D ). Bargain at £68
