Hello folks,
Is it possible to run Canon EOS Utility and download from 2 cameras?
Having just acquired a 600D to keep my 550D happy, I don't want to plug it in and find problems with matching file numbers etc.

Experience and expertise appreciated,

BB

You will end up with matching file numbers, the solution is seperate folders. Alternatively ignore EOS Utility and use a card reader. Its a lot quicker!

Hi Robin

I shoot on 2 Canon 60D's and they both synchronised file numbers as I was shooting a wedding, as Caleb said use two files but sometime you will want/need to combine then, you are given the option to overwrite or use unique names. It's confusing when you see all images in a file with some of the night time shots mixed with photos from the brides house.

This is simple, I set all files in camera 1 to XX1 and camera 2 to XX2. Sync the time on both cameras via EOS Utility to the same time, I use the PC time. After a shoot, download all files from cards and sort them by time taken. :)

I use separate folders and download to them so I don't have to worry about file names but any of the above solutions will work.
