ok, my canon 40d was in the back seat of my car half covered by my coat, as i took it out and went to put it on (unaware that my camera was within it) it fell to the floor making a nice scuff mark from the road surface, iv had a quick play with it and it seems ok, recon it is ok. are they quite robust cameras?

cheers, phil

Should be fine, take a few photos, make sure there are no horrible noises coming from within. Get it checked out if you're really worried, but I'd imagine it should be fine.

If it still works OK it'll be fine - remember: Chicks dig Scars...

You should see the state of mine...lol

They look way worse than this now - two and a half months later...

I love that you can pull that one out of the bag whenever someone's worried about their kit! It makes me feel a bit better when I get a scratch on my LCD :D.

Hope all's good (well, as far as can be expected ;)) out there, look after yourself

When **** like this happens it's usually the first and last time :D

For some strange reason I wish my kit looked like yours...:naughty:

Easily achievable: just hang them off your shoulders, put your hands on your head and go for a five-mile run, trying to ignore the horrendous clanking noises as they bounce off one another.
Assuming you have two bodies.

If you only have one, place it in a pillow-slip with two house bricks and put it in the tumble-dryer for 20 minutes...

When I get new cameras I baby them just like everyone else, believe me...
But after the first scratch I can relax and just get on with taking photos...lol

Sounds like a normal event then  shouldn't take too long.

But before I rough them up too much, can you confirm the chicks and scars theory :D

Look at Tony Hawke - didn't do him any harm - have you seen his Missus!
