Hi all,
I'm looking into buying a new printer soon; right now, I have an Epson XP-820. I just wanted to know if anyone owns an Epson ET-8550 or a Canon Pro 200. If so what do you like about it, and how long does the ink last? I'm still new to printers; any feedback would be great. Thanks. :)

I have the ET-8550

I have posted about it in this thread, perhaps it will answer your questions?

HTH?

Pro 200 uses dye based ink. In short this means short longevity and is ideally avoided. Pro 300 is the min spec.
Canon says their Pro 100 CLI-42 dye-based ink is good for 300 years. I don't know how archival their Pro-200 ink is.

It's basic photochemistry. Dye will never outlive pigment ink. You are realistically looking at 25 years in best case scenario away from direct light
