Any opinions on this folks??

Ultimately I would love the V750 but the price is just too high for the amount of work I would be doing with it...at first...

The only worthwhile diffs I see is the optical density of 3.4 vs 4.0...

This academic or a point to consider?

Thanks!(y)

Oh, one more thing...

How does the Canon 9950F compare?

I see no optical density score on the web pages for the Canon but the firewire capability of the Canon seems to be a plus point...:shrug:

I have heard that the 9950 is an old model and that the 8800F is as good or better and newer...

A lot of people have regretted stumping up for a V750 when all they got extra was a 40 quid fluid mount and pro version software.

The V700 is a lot of scanner for the money and delivers superb results.

We have just purchased an Epson 4490 and for the price it aint bad, slides come out great
