Epson P500

Hi, I'm going to be on location in Rome for a few days, I'll be away from my laptop for a good few hours at a time!

I have three large capacity SD cards but I'm still worried about data storage!

I've been told about this Epson P500 storage device and was wondering if anyone has had experience with it?

Alternatively, what do you use as a storage device while in the field?

I've not used any of the Epson series of data storage so I really can't comment on them. I have however been looking into getting something like this http://www.hypershop.com/HyperDrive-COLORSPACE-UDMA-s/64.htm to keep my files on when out and about. I have got a netbook and card reader at the moment, but I think a Hyperdrive or something similar would be easier and lighter to use.

Well, its certainly a little cheaper then the P500! Looks nicer too! I have the iPad 2 with the camera kit, and though it does import raw files, it's really slow!

I suppose speed of upload is the most important thing. A netbook sounds heavy! Though it would certainly be a bigger screen to sort images out! I don't know why cameras don't come with HD's anyway!
