Epson printer problem

Hi can anyone help. my Epson C48 printer has thrown up a signal saying. "your printer has reached the end of it's service life" and of course it's stopped working. My previous Epsom did this and I was told that it could not be fixed.
After I bought a new one "the present one" I was told that this is a bit of a con an the part of Epson and that the printers throw up this signal and stop working after a certain time and that they are recoverable!
Anyone know how?:shrug:

I have used that to bring a few Epson's back to life, not sure it works on all Epson printers mind.

Thanks at least I now know what's wrong. With the price of simple printers now it's not worth fixing.

Yes a few simple clicks did confirm that there was something seriously wrong an could not be repaired. bought a new printer and discovered that the old printer was causing all the problems I had been having with the computer.
All is fine now.
