Equestrian Photography

Hi,does anybody on this forum do equine photography.I would be interested to hear from togs taht do. I have just included this in my photography work as ive always been very equine orientated and work in racing.Just wondering where people started e.g private shoots,events etc and if there is anyone in gloucestershire.

Just really the best way of getting into it. I dont wana be stepping on anyones toes eg official event photographers and any handy tips that you think i may need to know.

if you have no experience then events are a good start, take those events no one else wants to do and at times of year no one wants to do them (-7c outdoor events are fun yo) and build yourself a reputation.

as long as youre not going to events with an official photographer and taking and selling photos you shouldnt step on toes. if in doubt ask the organiser.

handy tips, grow thick skin, be prepared to work long and cold hours and guard your images well.
