Honestly?
It's poorly composed, ruined by cropping the hoof out of the frame.. just a little further out and with maybe more 'negative space' for the horse to run into, it'd have been great!

Agree about the hoof, don't agree about the negative space. For me the composition is fine, the head/eye is almost bang on one of the thirds.

I totally agree about the hoof, although the pic hasn't been cropped at all it is pretty much as it was shot aside from a bit of brightening & sharpening.

Yes, shame about the hoof, but I certainly don't find it to be a poor composition.
(And tbh, someone skilled in PS could sort the bottom of the image out).
