hi, im new to real photography and would like to make a career out of it in the future, in currently 4 months into a ncfe level 2 course and loving it, i have a nikon d70 and i love it to bits lol.
i really want to do mostly portraits and have taken loads of my kids, the problem is i have no backdrop or lights so am not able to get the look im after atm just sitting them on a white rug and using OE, my friends and friends of friends are asking me to take photos of their kids too now and their pets too, what im after is a list of the basic equipment i need ie lights or flashguns, what cheap background, 1 light or 2, what colour umbrellas or none? im hoping to get lots of experiance/practice this year and hopefully with the help of a new government scheme set up a small studio next year. any advice greatly appreciated.
