Equipment in hot, humid countries...advice please!

Hi, I'm currently on holiday in a hot, humid environment and have a real problem with condensation on my kit as soon as I take it out of our airconditioned room. Should I keep the bag closed and let it slowly warm up....which means I can't use the camera for ages.....or is there another way of being able to use it as soon as, or at least fairly soon, after we leave our cool room?

Hi, I lived in Singapore and had this problem a lot! It gets worse when you try to clear the lens too. I never found a short cut to this, you just need to let the temperature equalize. Enjoy the heat, it's chilly in the UK, Mandy

I have left kit on the balcony to avoid this. Depends on security of course.

interesting to find this out as i am going to mexico end of feb for my honeymoon and i plan on taking my kit!
