Hi,
I’m in the market for a new camera and some lenses, and would appreciate and advice you can give me any thoughts and help please?

The package I’m trying to put together would be this…
Canon R6m2
Canon RF 200-800 lens
Canon RF xxxx.

So, questions
1) how big are the memory cards for use on RF cameras?
2) battery longevity RF cameras?
3) is the RF 200-800 sharp or does it suffer from softness?
4) I want an RF lens for studio work… thoughts?

I’m going to be totally new to the world of RF lenses so would really appreciate all your thoughts.
Best
Dave

I'm guessing that you have done quite a bit or research already to come up with this proposal, meaning that budget is OK and looking at a focus on maybe sports/wildlife and studio? Some clarity on what you're really looking to do would help as the answers all depend.

FWIW, I use Canon mirrorless; cards range from 128GB to 1TB; no idea about the 200-800; for the studio, a 24-70 would be a versatile option. Don't ignore EF lenses; they work extremely well with the RF-to-EF adapters. I have kept most of mine and still have relatively few RF lenses.

I keep the RF24-70 2.8L on my R6 almost all the time.
I tried the 28-70 f2, and both the 24-105L’s.

And if I had to choose again tomorrow, I’d pick the same.

But I’ve no idea what you’re shooting in the studio, and I wouldn’t want to be without a 70-200. The RF f4 version is light and sharp, but an old EF f4 would be a bargain for studio use.
