Equipment to bring this weekend

I'm off to London tomorrow for 3 three days and planning to do some shooting in London's. since I'm not driving this time and will also have luggage to carry so I'm trying to keep the weight as minium as possible.

Here are the equipment i got:

Nikon D7000 with Battery grip
Nikon 18-70mm AF-S f3.5-4.5 lens
Nikon 35mm AF-S f1.8
Nikon 50mm AF f1.8
Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM mkII
Metz 50 AF-1 Flash Gun

Since I will be doing most street photography and landscape stuff so i i trying to pick out gear i use most of the time. I also have to bring filter, spare battery and some AA rechargeable battery as well.

I usually use a lowpro backpack and birng all the above gear with me but i want to bring out only the gear i need this time.

Here is what i got in my small camera bag so far:

Nikon D7000 with Battery grip,
Nikon 18-70mm AF-S f3.5-4.5 lens
Nikon 35mm AF-S f1.8
Metz 50 Af-1 Flash gun (for a special event use on one of my day)

It make sense to leave the big zoom and the 50mm at home? I can still fit the 50mm in the bag but the question is will i actually need it?

Hope i made the right decision.
 
The 50 is a very small and light lens. I really doubt you'd notice any difference from carrying it.

You might as well put it in the bag just in case you end up wanting it.

That big zoom is definate no no and abit over kill for the stuff i'm shooting lol
 
I can appreciate not wanting to take the 70-200! Going round london with heavy bags is murder.

A couple weeks ago of I had to get from liverpool street station to hueston station on the tubes with 3 days worth of clothing and toiletries in a shoulder bag and a rucksack with my tripod (2kg), a 40D, 150mm f/2.8, 100-400L, 18-55IS, pentax 50mm f/1.7, flash gun, flash bracket and macro rail. :eek: :gag:

Worst part was when the imbecile getting on the tube in front of me stopped moving as soon as he was onto the train (:clap:) so I couldn't get all the way in and my tripod on the backpack got caught in the door as it closed :eek:

LOL! Reminds me of those people who get to the top of an escalator and stand there looking around as people bunch up behind...... Classic!
 
guess am all set. i pack everything in a small bag and is still light as hell. The 70-200 is staying at home lol.
 
D7000 + Both primes = job done. I find I get alot more creative if I force myself to use something I normally wouldnt. Choice is yours though, if you're never going there again then take the 70 - 200 and fire away!
