I used to own a 1DmkIV which is a 1.3x crop body. I am now thinking of replacing it with a 7D or 5DmkII. I own the 24-70 L and I found it idel on the 1.3x but I think it would be a bit too zoomed in for my linking on the 7D. What is an equivalent lens for the 7D? :thinking: I have the 17-40 but I could do with the f2.8 of the 24-70 and I think the 17-40 is a bit of a short zoom range for a walk about lens, I keep having to change all the time.

I think you need to make your mind up! ;) You have listed three completely different cameras there!

But if you want the best walkabout on a 7D, then it's got to be the 17-55 2.8 IS. Great lens :thumbs:
