error 99 on canon 350d

hi mates. have a canon 350d it take perfect pictures indoor but when comes to outdoor does not work at all keeps on showing 99 error plz help as have no idea what so ever.thankx

i had the same on my now old 350d! likely due to non canon lens mount on the canon body, got the problem fixed switching it off and on again or removing sometime the lens and plug it back.
can you try and give us a feedback? it used to work for me
