Error message on Talk Photography startup

I always get this message on staring up TP.

"Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console"

Clicking the 'x' clears it and I procced to the forums. Is this a known bug/error/?

I don't know about logging in, but TP won't let me go when I'm on my phone. It seems to take the age of a little pig to log out.

I get it in my phone or my iPad, but dismissing it then works fine.

Weirdly, I also get it when I go to the Dog Appreciation thread, and have to click it several times to dismiss it (while the screen behind the popup gets brighter with every click)
