ET 65 lens hoods

Hi all,
I am looking to buy a lens hood as I understand they help with flair etc. I am just pondering why pay the Canon price of around £35 when others around half that price?? Any advice would be welcomed
 
The Canon originals are much better quality (thick and strong plastic, smooth and easy attachment, flock on the inside) and the ET-65 III is one of the ones that matters more for as it uses spring loaded lugs to mate with the lens. The Canon ones click on and off really easily. Some of the third party ones don't. The 3rd party one I had cost about £8 but was a real pain to get on and off. Didn't matter to me though as I left it permanently attached to my 85mm f/1.8.

You pay your money and take your choice. :)
 
Never had ANY problems with 3rd party hoods! The only difference as far as I am concerned, is the price!

Thats a good price, well done :clap:

For me, I'd buy a genuine Canon hood as I've had mixed results with a 3rd party hood and if you keep your eyes open, sometimes they're on offer...
