EU Photography Locations - Advice

Before I start my HND Business later in Sep/Oct I want to do a few days in a few countries. I've ruled out the glorious USA as it's bit expensive, and perhaps be better doing a few locations in Europe would be more cost efficient and have more variety.

I will still be going Lake District in August or Sep too, but want to spend a little time abroad.

I like to photograph many things. I was thinking:

City photography: Prague. I prefer this over say Barcelona due to the architecture style that I, for some-reason, adore. I was thinking 3 or 4 nights should be sufficient. However, does anyone have any good locations advice for Prague and advice on hotels that's not too far out and not expensive. Have to say from images I've seen looks better to go in winter as it looks majestic with snow.

Coastal Photography. I was thinking along a Spanish coast would be nice something like Alicante, but not to sure. Would be nice to have some hill areas near by and not full of raving tourists. Of course would still be in a touristy area though most likely. Again just 3 or 4 nights here would be ideal.

Italy looks expensive, and not to sure about France.

Looking for nice coastal scenes with boats and that crystal clear water that looks like the bahamas, lol.

What about Greece for the coastal - the archetypical blue sky, white walls and turquoise sea?

I wouldn't rule out France.

About a few years ago I took in Avignon, Orange, Milau Viaduct, Carcosonne, Pont du Gard and a couple of other locations.

Quite easy to do and great locations for pictures. I flew into Marseille and hired a car.

Not to sure about Greece with the problems going on there.

You'll be fine in Greece. Just avoid Athens at the moment. All my family are from there and live there and it is getting a bit tasty.

If you were to go to Santorini not only will you find some of the friendliest people you will ever meet but will be treated to some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see.

I try to get out to Greece at least twice a year. Last summer there were plenty of riots and the like so we swerved the family and went to the far north. No problems whatsoever.
