Eurycnema goliath nymphs

A few mug shots of my new Eurycnema goliath nymphs, all bar 1 is feeding well on Eucalyptus. The head is only about 1mm across at the moment so no detail is seen with the naked eye. Shot with the Panasonic FZ8 and Raynox msn 202 with onboard flash. Slight cropping has taken place in the last 2 shots, 85% of original size.

Thanks Alby(y) Fascinating wee things.

Used to have stick insects as a kid and keep looking at the kits they have at the butterfly farm.....am tempted.....

Yeah it's a shame but such is the way. Mom's have plenty o babies but only a small percentage grow up :(

So am I, females get up to 20cm's in size and I will need to use the wide angle lens for that :LOL:

Blimey charlie! 20cm! That's a fair size, my A-Genic moulted about three days ago, her's bloomin huge now compared to last year, leg spans bigger than my hand!
I know what you mean about the wide angle lenses! :LOL:
