Won a Nikon D300 on eBay for £538 including postage. There were a lot of bids but I got in with 8 seconds to go, that's the way to do it :D

Immaculate condition and 13k on the shutter.

I've now go to eBay my Oly E-510 + 14-42mm to raise some funds for lenses

well done

that's my ideal step-up from the D5000

ENJOY.....................................:D

Well I've just changed jobs, so there's going to be a wee gap between getting paid, so it's going to be a cheap prime for now.

I've read about the 35mm AF-S 1.8 and the 50mm 1.8D.

The 35 is about £160 and the 50mm £120.

Yup, I've been having a look, also 50mm AF-S G as well. Decisions!

Nah not that interested in slow zooms, been there, not doing that again :D

Bought the cheap 50mm 1.8D from Warehouse Express. Found a voucher code for free next day delivery. Hopefully this and camera will be here by Friday.

The 35 is utterly wonderful on a crop.

Well Warehouse Express have ****ed me off today, I just received a call to tell me that there was some confusion in delivering the item and it left their warehouse but wasn't transfered to the correct van, so never made it to Aberdeen. Now it's not going to be here until Monday.

Despite costing about 1/3 less when they were both new, the Olympus still manages to rival it for build quality. Anyway, this is going to be fun!

Ha Ha, I got a new job at the beginning of October and trated myself to a (used) D300 too. Only used it a handful of times so far but am already firmly in love with it ... just need to sell the D90 to help pay for it :-)

Dean, say that one more time and I might just have to buy one

OP - bargain methinks. It's a really nice body to use as an everyday shooter. It really upped the game when it superceded the D200 and is still a very good camera.
