Exif Confusion

[Skips]

Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode

How does this happen?

[mobilevirgin]

You told it not to fire

So compulsory flash mode doesn't mean its compulsory to flash just that it has to follow your orders?

Sorry probably just that it's late and I'm being thick.

Cheers for clearing that up.

It maybe depends on the camera, but I'd guess it means the flash wasn't set to auto-I-think-I'll-pop-up-when-I-feel-like-it mode.
