found this before, not sure if anyone's seen it before?

Once installed move the mouse over the image in IE and get most interesting Exif data in the status bar.
No more annoying messages "No exif in the image" , if the exif is not in the file you'll see it right away without clicking anything. The same is true if the exif is present

Thanks for that, it works well, i've always used IExif but as a quick glance thing this is spot on.

no problems, glad i found something that quite useful

Since I use Firefox this inspired me to go hunting and I found this beastie.... just testing it and it seems to be the proverbial mutts nuts....

Gives more information than I expected it to - definitely recommended, and there's a version that works in Internet Explorer too....

Opanda IExif editor/viewer and plugin

Can someone with the program please check whether the vadimsphoto exif reader installs an uninstaller in Add/Remove programs so that it can be taken out if need be.

no it doesnt

but if you run the installer it gives uninstall as one of the options

I wondered how people managed to get the exif data from other peoples photos. I thought it was long winded but installing this shows its not. Thanks!!

Can you check again at the Cotrol Panel/Programs. It should list it as ExifInfo.
On Vista it is at Control Panel/Programs and Features.

On all my computers I see this entry so I can uninstall it anytime

The data is a part of most image files. If someone strips it deliberately then obviously it is not possible to see it. If one leaves it intact then it is not difficult to look at it.
