Just a quick question on how to remove it, as some images on the web don't have it how would I do this on photoshop?

"Save for web and devices" stripes it out automatically
 
Ok, thanks for that. Do think its better to keep it there when posting on the "web"?
 
thats entirely up to you
it does make the image a little "larger" (Kb wise) as I understand it

Some posters ( here ) leave it in others take it out
I usually "take it out" as its fractionally quicker to save for web than "save as"
 
It depends. Sometimes it is better to keep it on. Especially when postings on here. It's up to you whether you have something to hide. I don't normally bother removing it
