ihave downloaded opanda exif to try and find out how many shots my camera has taken but it does not show up in the data is there something else i can do thanks

You are looking for "shutter count" this has nothing to do with exif.
It is manufacture specific. Assuming you have a sony A200 i dont think its possible.

If you're loading an image into Opanda, make sure you haven't edited it in Photoshop or any other software - straight off the camera's best. You'll find the number of actuations by scrolling right down the list of fields in Opanda until you get to: "Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera".
