EXIF when using Sigma TC's on Nikon D300(s) and Sigma lenses

I hope someone can help with this.

When using Sigma TC's with compatable Sigma lenses (i.e. a 120-300 f2.8 EX DG APO HSM), is the correct (modified) focal length and aperture reported in the EXIF?

I'm using a D300s. Many thanks in advance!

Yep!

At least they are with my 120-300 and x1.4 EX DG, and x2 EX (the slightly older version). When stacked however, it only detects the x2...

I don't think I shall stack them except as an experiment, an 840mm f8 together with a 1.5x crop seems rather scary to me!

Pffft, where's your sense of adventure

I'll admit, it wasn't the easiest combo to handhold, but it was doable (perhaps a tripod would have made life easier ). You do need to stop down quite a bit to get anything sharp, but good fun to have a play with!
