Expired film developer

Just ran a roll of film through my new sprocket rocket and loaded the film into the dev tank.

Went to my chemicals and the developer (LC29) is black like coca cola.

Obviously it's gone but I was wondering if:

A, it could still be used
B, Yes but adjust dev times
C, Not risk it and order some fresh in?

I'd say it's been opened for about 6 months or so.

Yep, I didn't bother.

Off to Cardiff today to see what developer Camera Centre has got, may have to pop to Express Imaging out of town.

I was going to say don't use it, but you beat me to it. Print dev I would take more of a chance with, back when I did that, but film dev I wouldn't take the risk.

Only. Promicrol which looks like brown Windsor soup, is safe to use in that state. Anything else is way past it's sell by date.
