This app is awesome, if you're an ex-Mac OS X user.

Having migrated back to a Dell workstation after more than 2 years of a Mac Pro a few months back, I finally found an app that works great and is very customizable which fills in for Expose which I missed dearly.

It's called Switcher, uses about 8Mb of RAM so its fairly lightweight but its super fast and slick. Maybe not as much as expose but it has put a smile on my face after using Alt+Tab for a few months...

You can see it and download it here from the official site.

Hope this is off interest to some of you.
:)

Tried it some time ago. Didn't like it as you have to scour so much screen estate to find the window you're after. I normally use the preview pane in Win 7, although I do have an alt-tab replacement in Vista Switcher which is pretty quick to use.

He has, now he has software for it he likes too ;) lol

Hehe, yep. Running Windows on a Mac Pro wasn't as good as a PC (no AHCI/RAID support for one) so I decided rather than using Boot Camp I'd get move back to a Windows workstation as I used no real Mac OS-only apps anyway. :)

Not regretted it so far, and now I've found this app I love it.

Andy, I find it okay with up to 8 windows which is as far as I've taken it at the moment, although the dock-preview thing in Win 7 still gets used.

Can't wait to install it on my Vista machine at work though! :D

I have 15 windows on this desktop alone (and it's a quiet day today too!!) - and 3 virtual desktops (using VirtuaWin http://virtuawin.sourceforge.net/) which tend to have fewer windows on but I can easily get to 50+ windows open across all 3 desktops on a busy day - and that's not including the tabs in Google Chrome!....

Give vista switcher a go (http://www.ntwind.com/software/vistaswitcher.html). It places everything in one place on the screen but is easy to browse the windows just by moving the mouse up/down or by alt-tabbing.

PS. Vista Switcher allows you to switch between open windows with only the mouse if you enable it. Just hold your right mouse button down and scroll the wheel up or down to select the window you want.
