Exposure compensation

Oh Joy - Having been on the Mall on Tuesday happily snapping away it came as a bit of a shock to realise that I'd accidentally shifted on the exposure compensation by 1 &1/3 stops - not for the people in the crowd or the bands marching by, but for the the queens return in the open carriage.
I know its in the viewfinder but just didn't see it, bet I don't do that again, until the next time that is. Not a total loss pulled them back as shot in raw, just lost some and others not as sharp as could be due to the shutter speed slowing up.
Lets see, remember to switch to wheel disable, check the viewfinder, take the the 70-200 2.8 and not the the 70-300 4.5 (sod the weight) ask the lady in front to take the hat off and don't wave infront of the lens , anything else ......... Oh yes have another great day and learn from mistakes, as you learn little by success.

Yeah, I've done that too. Another favourite trick is to bung the ISO up in the thousands and forget about it when I next switch the camera on in bright sunlight until I wonder why I'm finding so hard to get the exposure down :amstupid:

Did I forget to mention the ISO, okay not on this occassion, learnt that one on a previous outing. It is warming to know that I'm not the only one who still continues to learn as we shoot.:bonk:
