Extension Tube Help

Just received a set of AF extension tubes today. Upon my first play, I was little disappointed. Anything above the 13mm ring, the AF focus just struggles and keeps trying to click past closeup focus.

What's the best way to use to extension tubes, and what is the best lens to use it with?

Manual focus is the way to go - focus by moving the camera forwards / backwards - use them on the nifty fifty - if you have one

they should work nicely on your 24-70 or nifty, you will find that for most macro work it's better to manual focus, even on dedicated macro lenses the AF can be terribly slow.

As said use manual focus, it is so much easier.
