Extension tube question

Hi

Just wondering if a set of Jessop Extension Tube Set for Nikon AI series coupling would work with my D5000.

Would it AF and would the TTL work?

No. AI lenses are manual focus and have no chip inside to send info to the camera which your camera needs for metering etc. The extension tube would need the electrical contacts in it to work properly with your camera. It'll work manually of course i.e. manual focus and you'd have to guess the exposure.

.... and you would need a lens with a aperture ring, i think 'D' denotes this in the lens name.
