Yes
Can you do this? I have a 60mm macro and kinda of a 180-300mm macro, I was thinking the tubes could get me some where in the middle?

If you add tubes to a 60mm 1:1 macro lens you going to get abit more that 2:1 with a full set of tubes, and I'd recommend a set of auto tubes that will allow you to control aperture from the camera body - the cheap £10 ones from evilbay are a PITA to use and you will find you will not use them very often. As theres no glass in the tubes IQ will not be affected but you will lose a little light.

Agreed. El cheapo manual brand types will represent one of the cheapest lessons in "get what you pay forography."

As above, tubes (good ones) will be fine with the EF-S60 but not too practical with your Tamron 180-300. The long native focal length means that it'll take a lot of extension to see any real benefit.
