External Power on yongnuo yn600ex-rt NOT working

As title, I am trying to use my Godex Propac PB 960 with yongnuo yn600ex-rt and it appears to not be working - its still only using the internal batteries.

I have connected the power pack to my Canon EX 580 II and selected external power use only and that appears to work fine with the same cable (sadly this option isn't available on the Yongnuo and I assumed it would pick it up automatically).

Confused, help ?

A stab in the dark.....

If the YN600 doesn't have a menu selection like the Canon then I suspect that it auto senses the external pack at power on.
Do you connect the Godex and switch on before powering on the YN600?

If there's no way of selecting the power how have you tested whether it's working? I'd use full power flashes and measure the recycle time, have you tried this?
