Extreme

Extreme wide angle perhaps - get in close and really work the distortion?

Extreme weather? Very wide angle? Way out style in a candid! A dried up river.

I don't think I've ever lived through extreme weather here in England ;) that'll be hard to catch.
I think I'd need a DLSR to get extreme wide angle, to attatch a fish eye lens.
I'll be honest, i dont know what you mean by 'Way out style in a candid!'
And I'm not sure where I could find a dried river, I'd have to research that one.
thanks :)

It is a monthly competition on myfinepix.co.uk and every month there is a new theme.
This one is Extreme, and that is all you get to go on. I had no idea what to do for it. So just wondered what ideas you guys might have.

Sorry Brandon. Way out candid.. multiple piercings, tattoos, bright red Mohican....something apart from the norm.

Other than extreme sports (as you have already said). Maybe some thing based on street life. A Drunk sparkoo laying in the grass. Tramp sleeping on a street bench. Some thing on those lines maybe

Try and tag on with a local group of off road mountain bikers - absailers - bungee jumpers, BMX'ers, the local fire brigade (doubt that's possible!!)
An obsessive collector of something.........................

Ah so thats how my original thread was woken up!

Extreme - i found - can extend from anything! From getting up at 4 o'clock just to get that sunrise photo you've wanted for ages, or like mentioned extreme poverty. However travelling out to somewhere just to photograph poverty for a small comp would be extreme enough! :)

o.O Why have I never heard about these
Apart from Boscastle floods which I learned about in Geography years ago ;)

Being a geography student myself, we're always have contained 'extreme' weather.

They're currently classing this current warm weather as 'extreme'

I would say, whilst the guy actually in the picture is a nut job, the camera man must have some balls too:
