Because I work for an online retail company I take a series of photos and have to assign a unique SKU file name to each photo. I have to move back from the camera and change that file name on the computer. Eye-Fi to iPad solutions would be amazing if I could tap on an image and change its filename on the imported file on the ipad.

Does anyone know if this is possible?!?
 
I use the shutter snitch app and you can change the file name/number when the photo has been transferred onto your ipad from your camera.
 
have you considered something like surface pro, or similar W8 tablet, or even macbook air?
even an android tablet.
iPad is probably the very worst thing to use when you need to change anything file related
 
If you're just taking photos of static objects all day with a camera on a tripod, then why not do it properly and tether the thing to a real laptop.

Tablets are great.... but they have their place, and I think your application is not one of them.
