Hi have just ordered an 8gb eye fi card fro my 1d mk3, question if anyone can help is will it work with both my ipad and iPhone with the same serial no, or will I have to buy 2 cards?

Great, not got loads of devices but would like to try on my ipad, iPhone and pc. Asking for a lot I know but well wait and see

I have been tempted but never purchased one. But according to the site you can use any device that is setup to transfer the photos. Would be a bit silly if it was 1 card per device considering they are not really cheap.
 
I use mine across all my devices including iPad, iPhone, MacBook and android tablet with no problems.

I have no problems with it in my Nex. I generally sync it with my iPhone when we have days out at the zoo etc so leave the phone in my pocket and just shoot. Images transfer within a few seconds with the direct connection and I often edit images as we walk using Snapseed so by the time we get home I've already done my sorting/editing :0)

The transfer time is faster with the direct connection than via my home wifi router but not by much. At home I generally sync to the iPad when I'm shooting macro so I've got a larger full screen preview within a few seconds that's easier to review.
