The eye of a stick insect from 1x to 5x approx taken on the Canon 40d, mp-e 65 and lit by the Mt-24 ex twin lite.
All shot one handed and rested on my knee due to a rather painful dodgy unoperational left elbow.

Thanks Matty, and of course you can take shots like this, it does have a lot to do with the equipment used.
