I don't think it's over the top.
It is a bit too flat IMHO, maybe there is too much contrast?
There seems to only be one shade of grey in the skin, I think for this style it should blow out to white but have a few shades of grey left.
 
Thanks both of you. I had a feeling that it was a bit overworked. Deliberately so, but I wondered if I had taken it too far. Lovely eyes though, don't you think?
 
Not at the moment, cos I cant see them properly. Lets see the original then :)

Not an expert by any means! But I do think the image is a little overworked, the right side of her face is too white, making it a bit flat and it means she has kind of lost an eyebrow..

I'm a big fan of the composition though.

Yeah, thanks for that. I'm definitely getting the feeling I need to do a rework.
