Does anyone use any of their products? Really liking the look of some of their mountain series bags, especially the Tilopa and Satori bags. Anyone using those ? Pretty expensive so wanted to get some feedback before doing anything. I find I grow out of bags pretty quickly.
 
Yeah, I got a Satori last year with the intention of using it whilst out trekking. Really fantastic quality bag, but I only got to take it out on a couple of brief walks and now that we're expecting a child it's unlkely to get used again for quite a while! It packs a load of gear, has a lot of straps on the outside for attaching a variety of stuff and can also fit in a Camel Back hydration bladder.

Great bags for extreme weather shooting. Having access to the main compartment via the inside helps keep our gear safe and also keeps that part of the bag clean.
 
they look like really good bags. have you also loked at the petrol bags brand?
 
ive got a loka, got a review of it in the reviews section :thumbs:

but are they worth the money? yes theyre built fantasically. just a pain waiting for them to ship over from the states (and watch the import taxes).
 
I've got a Bard and am going to get a Loka soon, the construction on the Bard is solid and there are lots of little touches that show it's been made by people who understand action sport photographers.

Dan Carr has got some really in depth reviews of their bags on his blog, if you haven't read them it is well worth a look.

There has been talk of a European warehouse in the near future so that might make ordering easier/quicker.
 
Is it me - or is the F-stop site always showing everything out of stock? :shrug:

Yes most of there stock is not available. I think it is due to the company's success. They are expecting stock for the new European warehouse at the end of April they tell me as I have an advance order in for a Tilopa BC with three ICU's.

You will order on the fstop site and if you live in Europe they will ship from their warehouse in Holland duty paid.

The new Satori will be available in late autumn, so a bit of a wait if you want one.
 
I've got a new Loka and its a fantastic bag, I ordered 2 ICU's with mine and whilst pricey it suits every situation I might have.
 
Out of interest which 2 did you go for? I'm going to be ordering one soon, thinking small and medium, but not 100% sure yet.
 
Went for small and medium as i wanted to pack a fair bit of non camera kit in the bag too.

Are waiting for anything?

Their inventory tracker says 5th May, but I've had my order updated to say that my order is expected to ship on the 25th April. (Just I fly off to Barcelona - curses).

Yeah ive got a mala on order which I was told was coming from the states after chasing I was told was coming from Holland when stock arrives on "the 15th May". I told them that I was informed it was shipped from the US on the 13th April and they agreed to ship from the US with upgraded shipping.
 
Just a heads up that they now have stuff in their EU warehouse, although I understand an lot has already been shipped, my Guru and 2 ICUs arrived yesterday. Review will be posted soon.
