Had a bit of a panic on today during a shoot when I got this message on my D300s with 17-55 attached.
I've read it can be a common problem and it relates to the lens not being fully twisted onto the body. I removed the lens several times and re-attached but it was eratic to say the least - focusing for a few shots then not focusing at all.
However, I switched lenses and the 70-200 seems ok on the same body.
Anyone had a similar experience ? Is it the 17-55 ? Is it the body ?
Couldn't resolve it so was restricted to using the one body for the rest of the shoot. It's placed no end of doubt before my next one.
