Ok, so today im off out to the falconry center in hagley, to have a ago at the birds with the 100-400mm IS, taking my 5 year old daughter and partner aswell and my daughter is so keen to get behind the camera, so i may let her take a few shots with the help of me ( mainly supporting the weight of the lens ) Has anyone ever been to this place before and any tips you could share would be great....

Its a beautiful bird, I am in no position to C&C the actual work and settings that have gone into the photo. All I can do is saw what a lovely photograph, did all 3 of you have a good time?

Yes julian its a beautiful bird of prey, and yes we all had a fab time...:D

Hi nigel, get yourself over there its a great place, and a bonus been down the road from the both of us, there was no flying display yesturday as alot of the birds were out on displays as it was bank holiday monday, but they do flying displays everyday. Bonus was my 5yr old daughter got to hold a baby golden eagle........:D
