About 2006, I decided to try to produce a collage with the majority of my family members in it. I had only just started using Photoshop Elements and this was a part of my learning curve. I gathered together many pictures and chose what I felt were the most appropriate, some are dating back to the 1910 era, black and white of course, and the rest dated from 1960 to present, the later ones are in colour. It took many hours to assemble over a period of a few weeks due to my lack of understanding of Elements. It has lain unsighted on my hard drive for a few years now, so it seemed a good idea to let it see the light of day again and I have added it here for your comments and opinions. Naturally many of the people in the picture are no longer with us, thats a sad fact of life, but again, some of the people are alive and I am happy they are of course.
Because the B & W pics were old and poor quality, it was limited as to what I could do with them but I wanted the people included. I decided to add these to the trees at the rear of the garden as ghostly images.
I have it in my head that I want to do this again, with different settings and where possible, up to date, or different pictures, and to correct the many many mistakes that I made on this one in the processing. I will welcome any thoughts you have or ideas. Has anyone done something similar and feels they would like to make a comment, do you think this works as it is, or how would you change the idea.
Thanks for looking.
