Family poses

I could do with a bit of help finding a pose or a series of poses for a family of 12 . I am doing a photo shoot this weekend for some friends of mine (12 of them ) .It is really a photo of all 12 family members together in one picture to give to a poorly old member of the family on canvas .Anyone have ideas about how to arrange them ?

I would look at how tall each are and pair them up with there partners,
It hard to say how to place them until you know who is in the family but look at three-ish rows BUT not in straight lines more jagged - some just in front of the next one If you get what I am saying. Just watch your lighting for shadows on each other.
With so many I take a few in quick secession so you get all the eyes open and looking at you If you have more then the one you can over lay them in PS and switch out closed eyes.

i use a couch and so there are standers sitters and crouchers
