Would this be sweet for every now and then use?

£29.99 deliverd from China. sorry forgot to add that in

Personally I would not buy it. I have never heard of these before, and googling the brand gets mixed reviews. I'd want to see one, or at least a review of that exact model before I splashed out. It might be fine, but if it's not, you're most likely stuck with it.

It also looks like a right beast of a thing. Not something easy to carry around with you day to day.

I'd be inclined to take a wander down to Jacobs, Jessops and Hiltons, see the kind of ranges available to you. If you see one you like, then see if you can pick one up cheap off Ebay :D

Ps Greetings from just up the road in Hull

If its only £29.99, its probably going to fall apart in no time. For a table top tripod I think gorrillapods are a good make to buy. If you buy cheap you have to buy twice, the first tripod I got was from essops and it didnt last very long.

I have a table-top Manfrotto 709B Digi and its amazingly sturdy even with a 70-300 attached. Fits in my pocket too. Got on the 'Bay for £11 or so.

suppose thats true yeah, it will be support a D90.

I checked the frotto but could find for less than £30 like so will be keeping my eyes open.

Looked at the velbon but look a little bulky for such a small item, could be the image though

but do they hold up? i am not tight or any thing but i can't justify frotto/slik etc prices for me to use a few times a year.

I noticed red snapper pods mentioned but were do you buy them from? i have searched but not much comes in returns.

Just did a google and came up with this link:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FANCIER-Compl...temQQimsxZ20090721?IMSfp=TL090721161004r15198

Just by looking at it and reading the spec, I will bet a fair sum that it's a damn good tripod, and ridiculous value for money. A really nice lightweight travel tripod.

Buy it, and if you don't like it, I'll give you what you paid for it (serious offer). Makes Redsnapper look very expensive

Redsnapper are rated at 10 kg mate, and they will take that weight. So not really a fair price comparison.

lol never seen them sponser links on the home page.

I had actually seen a Redsnapper for £50 some advertised somewere, which i probs would stretch to(legs only :( ) . what i was meaning i didn't want to splash the cash as some are well over £100 butget and would only be used occasionally.

Am i dreaming or has China got some issues at the moment?

hmmm decisions.
