Sorry if i am duplicating a post but i couldnt find one.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a fast Compact Flash card reader?
the one im using at the moment works at the speed of glass :|

Another thumbs up for the sandisk extreme USB reader, excellant and very fast, no problems with it at all. Got mine from Amazon and was the cheapest at the time

Most laptops with 4 pin firewire DONOT have any power connections on the firewire port, So no it wont work.

Dont forget the Sandisk Firewire reader has a firewire 800 connection on it and to use it at its full potential with the fastest cards you have to use the firewire 800 interface as soon as you step it down to firewire 400 it looses its fastest possible speeds.

As the USB version is only about £10 - £15 that is the best value, but if you cant wait an extra few seconds for it download or you have a mac then get the firewire reader.
