fast memory card

Could i have some suggestions please on a good reliable fast memory card for use with a canon 1d mk iii

How fast is fast? And what sort of size are you after?

Card speed will make zero difference. The 1D MkIII can't even make use of UDMA so it has a maximum write speed of around 15 MB/s. Any card faster than this (which is just about all of them nowadays) will not make any difference to the way the camera operates.

A fast card may increase the speed at which images transfer from the card to your computer. But, if you use USB2 that'll top out at around 30 MB/s - probably less.

So splashing out a load of cash on anything faster than 30 MB/s will be a waste of money.
